It is a UEFA category four stadium. The 90,000-capacity venue is the second largest stadium in Europe, and serves as England's national stadium. It is the sole home venue of the England national football team, and hosts the latter stages of the top level domestic club cup competition, the FA Cup. In 2012 it hosted the football finals of the London Olympics.  In club football, in addition to the FA Cup the stadium hosts the showpiece season-opening game the FA Community Shield match, played in August between the winners of the FA Cup and the top-level Premier League.
In mid-season it also hosts the finals of the Football League Cup and Football League Trophy. At the end of the domestic season, the stadium also hosts the finals of the Football League play-offs. In European football, it hosted the 2011 Champions League Final, and will host the final again in 2013. Buy Champions League Tickets 2013 at May Fair Global Events. The match was to settle on the winner of the 2011-12 season of the UEFA Champions League, Europe's premier club football tournament. Bayern were making their ninth tournament in the competitions final, having won four and lost four, most lately losing in 2010. AC Milan 2-0 Wins against FC Barcelona Champions League 2013

Milan hold sway this time thanks to goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari Eliminated by Barca in their last two knockout round meetings. A splendid defensive display allied with second-half goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari earned AC Milan a 2-0 win against FC Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie. Having faced the Azulgrana four times in the competition last season, Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri's inside knowledge paid off as his team prevented the visitors scoring for just the second time in any competition this term. Their resilience was rewarded with Boateng's 57th-minute opener, Muntari icing the cake late on to confirm a fourth defeat of the campaign for the Spanish Liga leaders.
It was then that they attempted to counterattack, a tactic which nearly paid off on the quarter-hour when a lovely touch from Boateng sent Stephan El Shaarawy free down the left. Though the Italy forward cut into the box, a heavy touch combined with Carles Puyol's timely intervention spelt the end of the chance. However, the subsequent corner, cleverly delivered low towards the near post by El Shaarawy, was turned towards goal by Boateng but slipped just wide. Barça reassumed control yet remained frustrated by a disciplined home defence, leaving El Shaarawy to go close to converting Boateng's inviting cross from the right. It was, therefore, little surprise when Allegri's charges took the lead. Riccardo Montolivo received a free-kick from 30 metres out and though his shot struck Cristián Zapata on the edge of the area, the ball fell perfectly for Boateng. The Ghana midfielder beat Valdés with a precise left-footed effort to register his club's 400th European Cup goal.
Milan continued to stand strong at the back thereafter, prompting Andrés Iniesta to try his luck with a long-range drive which flew narrowly wide of Christian Abbiati's left-hand post. With nine minutes left, the hosts rubber-stamped their first victory against Barcelona in their last eight attempts. Substitute M'Baye Niang played in El Shaarawy, who in turn showed delightful poise to tee up Muntari, whose first-time volley left Valdés with no chance. Barcelona have work to do in the 12 March return. Buy Champions League Tickets 2013 at May Fair Global Events. May Fair Global Events is the best Football Tickets seller for champions league events. The small Soviet-designed AN-24 plane had been carrying 44 passengers and crew from the Black Sea port of Odessa when it crash-landed shortly after 6pm local time, the Ukrainian emergencies ministry announced. The plane was operated by the small Southern Airlines Company, which mostly runs domestic flights out of Odessa. Many of the passengers escaped the burning plane through the break in the fuselage. Oleg said that according to preliminary information the crash could have been caused by engine failure during landing. The 2013 UEFA Champions League Final will be the final match of the 2012–2013 UEFA Champions League, the 58th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organized by UEFA, and the 21st season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League.

2013 Champions League Final Tickets Price Issue

2013 Champions League Final Match will be held at Wembley Stadium, London, United Kingdom on May 28th 2013, 15:00. The 2011-2012 Champions League Final will be played at the home ground of Bayern Munich (The Allianz Arena) Germany. Last year at Wembley Stadium the Champions was Barcelona after convincingly defeating Manchester United 3-1. UEFA has take action to rising worry over the high cost of watching football in England by dropping the cheapest Football Ticket for 2013 Champions League Final Tickets at Wembley to £68. European football's governing body was accused of take advantage of supporters when the match was last staged in London two years ago - Barcelona beat Manchester United 3-1 - by charging a total of £176 for the cheapest neutral Ticket.
Fans will pay £60 for the lowest-priced individual tickets, although the cost comes to £68 once £8 of administration and postage charges are added. It is correct we should give the opportunity to everyone to go to the match irrespective of their financial conditions, a spokesman said. But many supporters may still view the entry level price of almost £70 as too high even for what is arguably the biggest game of the season. Only 11,800 of the 59,000 tickets on general sale will be priced in this new low category.  The rest will be sold at much higher prices ranging from £140 to £330.
This year's competition resumes next week with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Celtic, Arsenal, AC Milan and Bayern Munich all involved in the last 16 ties. And some fans may still question why 20,000 seats are not being put on sale to the general public. UEFA hold back these tickets for sponsors, commercial partners and officials and administrators from European and world football. Manchester City fans returned nearly a third of the ticket allocation for their game at Arsenal in January, the £62 price was too high. Supporters groups have warned the Premier League it risks alienating a generation of fans by charging too much to watch games. Buy Champions LeagueTickets 2013 at May Fair Global Events. 380 Champions League Football matches was Fixed

Champions League tie played in England is one of 380 matches across Europe investigators say was fixed. However, European police did not reveal the identity of the match they believe was corrupt in England. Speaking in The Hague, Europol said that they had uncovered an organized crime syndicate based in Asia that was co-coordinating the operation, with around425 match officials, club officials, players and criminals under suspicion. Europol which has been investigating for 18 months said suspected matches included World Cup and European Championship qualifiers, two Champions League ties and several top Football matches in European leagues.
They said that criminals put €16m on rigged matches and made €8m in profits. Payments of €2m are thought to have been paid to those involved, while investigators said that the biggest payment to an individual was €140,000. Europol believes a crime syndicate based in Asia was liaising with criminal networks throughout Europe. It believes match-fixing has taken place in 15 countries and 50 people have so far been arrested. Officials said they feared this was the tip of the iceberg. This is the work of a suspected organised crime syndicate based in Asia and operated with criminal networks around Europe, Rob Wainwright, the director of Europol, said. It is clear to us this is the biggest-ever investigation into suspected match-fixing in Europe. It has yielded major results which we think have uncovered a big problem for the integrity of football in Europe. We have uncovered an extensive criminal network.
Wainwright would not reveal the identity of the Champions League match staged in the UK under suspicion due to "ongoing judicial proceedings" but he did confirm it had taken place in the last three to four years and admitted it was not a country under particular scrutiny. He added: "The focus has been on other countries, not the United Kingdom. However we were surprised by the scale generally of the criminal enterprise and just how widespread it was. It would be naive and complacent of those in the UK to think such a criminal conspiracy does not involve the English game and all the football in Europe. A Uefa spokesman said: "We will be liaising with Europol in relation to any reports of match fixing in European competition. Buy Champions League Tickets 2013 at May Fair Global Events. Sparked Memories of Cristiano Ronaldo Goal

An ominous mood of quiet approval filtered from the Manchester United site as deceased Craven Cottage. Sharply suited with lavatory bags tucked under their arms, the players made for the train, aware that they had delivered the type of 1-0 away win that Sir Alex Ferguson cherishes. Perfect. Excuses were on offer. The lights went out and broke their rhythm, good fortune played hard to get and, after the thrashing given to Martin Jol’s team in the FA Cup, complacency had to be avoided. Four years ago, United beat Fulham 4-0 in the FA Cup at Old Trafford and then lost 2-0 at Craven Cottage with Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes sent off.
This time, there was no slip and the omens were good. Rooney’s 79th-minute winner sparked memories of a Cristiano Ronaldo goal scored in the same net. It was February six years ago, and United pushed on to win their first title in four years, beating Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in a two-horse race by six points, easing up at the finish. Like Ronaldo’s, Rooney’s goal was a powerful surge down the left wing with a lethal strike into the net at the Putney End. He celebrated like he knew it mattered. I fancied myself to score,’ said Rooney, who had hit a post in the first half. ‘It was a little bit similar to Cristiano’s goal. After that goal we went on to win the league and hopefully that can happen again. It was Rooney’s 10th in 10 games after his slow start to the campaign and United have taken 35 points from 39 in the Barclays Premier League since losing at Norwich in November.
Before Manchester City visit Old Trafford on April 6, Ferguson’s team face five teams from the bottom half QPR, Norwich, West Ham, Reading and Sunderland. City’s fixtures include Chelsea and Everton. It will be all but over if United maintain this form. It was a really determined performance,’ said Ferguson. ‘Players threw their bodies on the line, blocking shots, getting headers out and they really worked their socks off. Buy Champions League Tickets 2013 at May Fair Global Events.
